Position Overview

As a Tutor, you will provide individualised instruction and support to students of various age groups and academic levels. Your role is to help students grasp challenging subjects, improve their study skills, and achieve their academic goals. By identifying their strengths and weaknesses, you will tailor your teaching methods to meet their unique learning needs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct one-on-one or small group tutoring sessions with students in specific subjects or academic areas.

• Assess students' academic needs and develop personalised learning plans to address their areas of improvement.

• Explain complex concepts in a simplified manner, using appropriate teaching techniques and materials.

• Help students with homework assignments, projects, and exam preparation.

• Provide guidance on study skills, time management, and organisational strategies.

• Monitor student progress, track their performance, and provide feedback on areas of improvement.

• Communicate with parents or guardians to provide updates on students' progress and address any concerns.

• Stay updated with current curriculum requirements and teaching methods relevant to the subjects you tutor.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in the subject area you wish to tutor (or a related field) is preferred.

• Previous tutoring experience is highly desirable.

• Strong knowledge of the subjects you tutor and their respective curriculum requirements.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Patience and empathy when working with students.

• Organisational and time management skills to plan and track tutoring sessions.
