Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Healthcare Receptionist. As a Healthcare Receptionist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, visitors, and staff. Your primary role will be to greet and assist individuals, manage phone calls, schedule appointments, and ensure the smooth flow of administrative tasks. The ideal candidate should have strong organisational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a genuine desire to help others. If you are detail-oriented, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and have a passion for supporting patient care, we encourage you to apply.

We're looking for an Engineering Manager. The most important trait with the candidate we are looking for is that they are currently working as a strong engineering manager (or tech lead) but not too far removed from code (i.e probably been managing for only 2-3 years). While they won't be coding daily, they do need to have a strong ability to ‘dive deep’ in order to form a strong strategy and roadmap for the future. If you are detail-oriented, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and have a for all things tech, we encourage you to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow the engineering team, working with our recruiting team on hiring roadmap, needs, vetting and onboarding of our ‘dream team’.

  • Lead a team of entrepreneurial engineers to build web-based systems that are at the core of the organisation platform.

  • Spend approximately 25% of your time “in the weeds” — understanding the ‘ins & outs’ of our code, jumping into Python on the backend and React on the frontend as needed

  • Manage and collaborate with our external development team to inform the how and why of every sprint.

  • Architect and build high-value features and product offerings that drive growth and build.

  • Partner closely with key stakeholders across the organisation, including Design, Product, Operations and Leadership

  • Remove project or team roadblocks and respond to and prioritize requests from the larger team

  • Lead, own and evolve the engineering policies, processes and procedures in alignment with Agile best practices, and whatever you deem necessary to maintain the health and integrity of Breef’s engineering org

  • Advise with leadership on key technical decisions; act as a translator between technical third parties and Breef

Knowledge, Skills & Attributes

  • 5+ years experience as a full-stack software engineer (Python & React)

  • 2+ years as an engineering manager leading, managing and hiring engineering teams

  • Experience managing an engineering team of 3+ direct reports

  • Experience as an engineering leader as well as a hands-on contributor

  • Experience owning software development life cycles and driving technical projects

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies

  • A general understanding of the marketing and agency space

  • Prior marketplace or fintech / payments experience a plus

  • Bonus: DevOps experience

Qualifications

  • 5 - 10 years of experience out of which ideally only around 2-3 years as an engineering manager (or strong tech lead), managing and hiring engineering teams and 5+ years experience as a full-stack software engineer prior to that (python & react)

  • Experience managing an engineering team of 3+ direct reports

  • Experience as an engineering leader as well as a hands-on contributor

  • Experience with Agile development methodologies

  • A general understanding of the marketing and agency space

Benefits

  • Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.

  • Paid time off and vacation days.

  • Friendly and collaborative work environment.
