Position Overview

As a Healthcare Care Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing essential care and support to patients in various healthcare settings. Your responsibilities will include assisting with daily living activities, monitoring patients' well-being, and ensuring their comfort and safety. You will work closely with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.

• Help patients with mobility and transfers, using proper techniques and equipment.

• Monitor patients' vital signs, observe and report any changes in their condition to healthcare staff.

• Assist with feeding and meal preparation, considering dietary restrictions and preferences.

• Provide companionship and emotional support to patients, engaging in conversation and recreational activities.

• Maintain a clean and organized patient environment, including making beds and tidying rooms.

• Follow care plans and instructions provided by healthcare professionals, ensuring adherence to protocols.

• Document and maintain accurate records of patient care and observations.

• Knowledge of basic patient care principles and practices.

• Understanding of hygiene and infection control procedures.

Qualifications

• School diploma or equivalent (additional certification or training in healthcare support is preferred).

• Previous experience in a similar role, such as a healthcare assistant or caregiver, is an advantage.
